Nexus
2000 and 3000 systems
are complete units and include the Nexus body, Answer self-cleaning
micron screen, central orifice plate, fines polisher with air backwash,
air diverter valve, unionized ball valves to waste, and Kaldnes media
for the bio-reactor (fluidized Kaldnes).
The Nexus 2000 and Nexus 3000 are the same system
in 2 sizes for different pond volumes. The system you will need depends
on your pond, desired flow rates.
* Nexus 2000, 2640 gph max flow, for ponds up to
4700 gallons.
* Nexus 3000, 3430 gph max flow, for ponds up to 8900 gallons.
The Nexus 2000/3000 is a very cleverly combined
mechanical and biological filter creating an effective, high performance
filtration system for all sizes of ponds. It revolutionises the
way ponds are filtered. Nexus is the first filtration system that
can be tailored to provide all fish keepers and pond enthusiasts
with unbeatable performance. Combined with the Answer, there really
is no competition regarding price and what it will achieve!

|
| How
it works |
-
Water, gravity or pump fed, flows into the inlet of the unit and
enters the primary settlement vortex which is the main mechanical
stage of the filter. The Answer* sits in the central chamber of
the Nexus and prevents all solids over 200 microns from entering
the biological stage.
- The bio-filter stage consists of the Kaldnes Moving Bed™
Process*. An air ring at the base of the out side bio-chamber releases
air into the biofillter, agitating the media, which the bacteria
colonise, thereby creating an optimum environment for the nitrification
process to function.
- The water then flows through the bio-filter chamber, out through
the exit chamber with the static media and returns to the pond.
* The
Answer is robustly engineered out of stainless stell and a proven
technolagy within the industry. The pump that provides the power
and cleaning action, draws filtered water from inside the Answer.
It is then pumped into a hollow rotor arm. At each end of the arm
are nozzles angled at 45 degrees. Water pumped through these nozzles
cause the arm to rotate, spraying water again the inside of the
screen. In this action solids are swept away from the outside of
the screen to settle out at the base of the vortex chamber.
* Kaldnes bio-media has been proven to be many times more efficient
than other media. This uniquely designed media provides amazing
water quality and clarity, especially when it has reached full maturity.
Kaldnes bio-media is maintenance free allowing the biomass to fully
mature, which maximises its effectiveness and creates constant parameters.

|
Combined,
they provide outstanding water clarity and quality.
The Nexus 2000/3000 system is designed for gravity fed configuration
only. |

Why
the Nexus 2000 or 3000...? |
 |
- used
extensively in fish farming
-
long periods between maintenance
- unbeatable
water quality and clarity
- zero
maintenance within the biological stage
- easy
to install - ‘plug and play’
- uses
scientifically proven Kaldnes
Moving Bed™ technology
- unparalleled
value for money
- complete
professional system gravity fed only
|
- no
need for a high pressure and costly circulating pump
- small
footprint

- low
running costs
|
|
HIGH
EFFICENTCY PUMPS CAN IN MOST CASES BE USED
A good feature of the New modifications Evolution Aqua
have made with the Nexus is the fact that
now no Sand or Bead filter should be required, as beforehand, to
remove those fine particles that would have previously been returned to
the pond. This means no high pressure pumps are needed (unless
you are pumping to a high waterfall) and you should subsequently be able
to use a Sequence 750 or 1000 series low wattage pump on EA's Nexus 2000/3000
and EAZY Systems ..... think of the cost savings on the electricity bill
