Spring
2006 we were contacted by a couple in Ajax, Ontario about the
possibility of rebuilding their pond. As you can see from the
picture's it was quite a mess. The major complaint, other than
appearance, was loss of water daily as well as water build-up
under the liner. Soil in this area is mainly clay. The slope of
the yard goes down to the pond area so rain run off was an issue.
| Scope
of work: |
|
-
remove existing rock work
- remove
existing liner and underlay (happened to be carpet)
- re-dig
the pond, made it slightly larger and added a plant shelf
- install
new liner (40mil EPDM), used old liner for underlay
|
- 1 yard of landscape screening (sand/gravel mix) used
to level/raise the grade of the pond area
- re-install rock work and build small waterfall

A
small project, one days work. Thought it turned out nicely. |
